For many reasons, I've been feeling rather over the moon. It's wierd. Yeah, sometimes in church we talk about the difference between happiness (which is dependent on circumstances) and joy (ind. of circumstances, found in God). That's fine and dandy on my notebook, but one wonders how different these are, experientially. So I figured, is this slightly unusual feeling I have tangible joy? (Of cos, I've always knew tangible Joy can be found in SIM =P)
Anyway, I just gobbled up a quarter of my laptop (I haven't blogged about this? another day maybe ... haha ... it's an 15" IBM T42 anyway) HDD, filling it up with photos from KC's archives. Made me come to the conclusion that there is good reason why he keeps them on CD-ROM. I think I'll top him and put them up DVD, but I'll have to find some way to burn them, of course. blah blah blah ... ;p
Where was I? Oh yeah, so I was looking through the photos, and so many neural networks were activated (read: brought back memories)! All the smiling faces, candid shots (yeah, KC, maybe I'll take back all I said ;p) and group photos. Makes me so glad and thankful to belong to my lovely church family. Indeed, sometimes I find it inapt to introduce my brothers and sisters as "church friends". After all that we've been through, we seem to have gone beyond mere friendship.
I know most of my blog's readers are you guys, my family. Yeah, but for those who are yet to commit and belong to a church family, I encourage you to do so. No instant gratification in this, and relationships take time to grow, but in time to come, you will see how every effort in this area is worth it. =)

:) Quite encouraged by your entry. Thanks. Indeed, having a church family feels like heaven on earth, so heart-warming. :) And that reminds me, we should now and then express our love and appreciation for one another in the family, no matter how busy we may be. Yup. :)

hee...first time drop by with comments. :)
Yea, thinking about this family of God, it is really closely knitted, full of sincere love. it really goes beyond friendship. That's why sometimes I found it strange to introduce my brothers and sisters in Christ as my church friends also.(ha, same as you, weichu =))
Indeed, i'm so encouraged by the joy you've got! rmb "blessed are those who hope in the Lord". =)

LAME for the tangible "JOY" thing... heehee, glad u enjoyed looking thru the photos, it shows tat my conviction abt them hasnt gone wrong... i personally havent gotten the time to look thru all of them myself... but actually i think the most satisfaction tat can be gained from them is to look thru them with the rest around, to have a brother or sister to laugh at them with u and to recap the fond memories together... though i actually only plan to do it when i'm more than 40 yrs old muahahaha... hope tat we'd have time for this then :)

tangible *jOy* is here!!! haha. :) yea i love all the brothers & sisters lots... i don't think it's just about the photos or the various events that we attend together... but it's the unity in Christ and the love of God in our hearts that keeps us together even if we're a Sub-D or a school away... :)
